Wschodznie Wyspy Kanaryjskie - Lanzarote, Gran Canaria i Fuerteventura - zajmują powierzchnię 7,447 kilometrów kwadratowych i posiadają niezwykle zróżnicowany krajobraz. Swoje pochodzenie zawdzięczają intensywnej aktywności wulkanicznej, która wiele lat temu wyrzeźbiła głębokie wąwozy, obszerne doliny, skaliste kaniony, złote piaszczyste wydmy i piasek bielejący na słonecznych plażach archipelagu.
Lanzarote i pobliski archipelag "chinijo" tworzący grupę małych wysp leżących na północ od Lanzarote, w połączeniu ze znakomitym zgospodarowaniem Lanzarote i Fuerteventury i z bazami jachtów czarterowych, są idealnym obszarem dla uprawiania żeglarstwa o każdej porze roku.
Zachodnie Wyspy Kanaryjskie to Teneryfa, La Palma, La Gomera i El Hierro są znacznie bardziej malownicze od wschodnich, ze w zględu na urwiste ściany skalne oraz zielone doliny porastające przez endemiczne lasy.
Warunki do żeglowania na Wyspach Kanaryjskich są dobre przez cały rok. Trzeba jednak pamiętać, że region ten jest dość wymagający. Długa i często wysoka oceniaczna fala, silne wiatry oraz sosunkowo duże odległości pomiędzy wyspami i portami sprawiają, że dla początkujących żeglarzy warunki te mogą okazać się zbyt wymagające.

Lanzarote:
La Sociedad: 29º13´N013º 30´W - Very small port, only two small supermarkets and a couple of restaurants.
Arrecife: 28º58´N 013º 32´W - Arrecife is the capital city of Lanzarote, just a few miles away you can find other ports, Puerto Naos (not very important), Puerto Arrecife (a good place to find supermarkets, restaurants, water and petrol). All of them very industrial ports.
Puerto del Carmen: 28º55´N 013º41´W - A good possibility to go shopping but a busy port.
Puerto Calero: 28º55´N 013º42´W- Also a good possibility to moor: Petrol, water, restaurants and bars. Tel 928.51.08.50
Playa Blanca: 28º52´N 013º50´W - No power at the pier, no gas station, not a good choice to moor.
Fuerteventura
Corralejo: 28º44´N 013º51´W - A very small port, water and electricity yes, restaurants and supermarkets but mostly full.
Puerto del Rosario: 28º30´N 013º51´W - The capital city of Fuerteventura, water and power, shops and restaurants to choose from, very good, a lot of industry!
El Castillo: 28º23´N 013º51´W - Very good port, gas stations, supermarkets and sanitary locations in very good condition. Typical place for tourists with all the entertainment, a bit expensive.
Gran Tarajal: 28º12´N 014º01´W
Almost no water or power, provisions can be bought in nicer ports.
Morro Jable: 28º02,5´N 014º20´W - Water and power, sanitary facilities by the manager of port, bar and restaurant.
GRAN CANARIA
Las Palmas: 28º08´N 015º25´W - A very good port. You can find gas station, power and water.
Taliarte: 27º59´N 015º22´W - You can´t moor here officially, please avoid it.
Pasito Blanco: 27º45´N 015º37´W - Good choice, gas station and great sanitary installations.
Puerto Rico: 27º47´N 015º43´W - It is a good port, not a very touristic place, power, water, gas station and sanitary installations.
Puerto de Mogan: 27º49´N 015º46´W - A perfect port, very nice places to see but the sanitary installations! Tel.928.56.56.68
Puerto de las Nieves: 28º06´N 015º43´W - The best is to register before with the port manager Luis Tel.928.55.42.27, no water, no electricity, no showers, yes toilettes, a nice fishing place with possibilities for shopping.
TENERIFFE
Santa Cruz de Tenerife; Puerto Atlantico: 28º28´N 016º15´W - A good possibility to moor, water, power, sanitary facilities, a small markt close to the port.
Radazul: 28º24´N 016º19´W - A good port, power, water and installations for water in every place, sanitary installations close to the office of port manager, gas station as you arrive. Restaurants and less bars there. Tel.93.22.59.220
Los Cristianos: 28º03´N 016º43´W - Water, power, gas station and more shopping possibilities around.
Puerto Colón: 28º05´N 016º45´W - A good place to moor, nice port, unfortunately almost always full, very good restaurants. Tel.922.71.42.11
Los Gigantes: 28º15´N 016º50´W - Power, water, cold showers, gas station, diverse restaurants and bars. Tel.922.10.16.01
LA PALMA
Santa Cruz de la Palma: 28º41´N 017º46´W - A secure port, water, no power, no gas station, shower possibilities outside the port, good place for shopping.
Puerto de Tazacorte: 28º38´N 017º56´W - Mostly full of fishing boats, no gas station, water and shopping possibilities limited.
LA GOMERA
San Sebastian de la Gomera: 28º05´N 017º06´W - Capital city of Gomera, water and power, showers and toilettes installations, careful with the drivers, a variaty of shops and restaurants. Tel.922141769
EL HIERRO
Not all the ports in El Hierro are safe and the way back is difficult.
Puerto de la Estaca: 27º47´N 017º54´W - Not a port to go to. Besides water, no possibilities for shopping or mooring.
La Restigna: 27º35´N 017º59´W -
A small fishing port, water and gas station there.
